Nicola Peltz has been asked ‘why do you hate your in-laws’ after she didn’t attend David Beckham’s 50th birthday party over the weekend.

The actress, 30, and her husband Brooklyn, 26, were noticeably no-shows at David’s London celebration on Saturday, with the reason behind their fallout revealed here by Mail+.

Nicola’s latest Instagram post has since been hijacked by users demanding to know why she was not in attendance at David’s milestone birthday event.

The former Bates Motel star shared a video of herself promoting a skinscare brand on Monday and fans quickly commented on the rift between her and the Beckhams.

One user wrote: ‘Why don’t you like your in-laws? Don’t you go to any of their events?’

Others added: ‘You should both be ashamed his father has just turned 50! Shocking’… ‘Family values, don’t forget’.

‘You should have gone to your father-in-law’s birthday party. It’s rude of you not to attend and cause an issue. You’re being petty and your insecurity shows.’

‘Don’t put a wedge between your husband and his father.’

The Mail exclusively revealed at the weekend how tensions between the Beckham family and Nicola are being blamed for Brooklyn and Peltz’s failure to attend David’s 50th birthday.

Friends of the family accused Nicola of keeping Brooklyn from family events, and claimed she created ‘drama’.

Brooklyn is also accused of turning down an invite to a father-son fishing trip in Scotland which Romeo and Cruz attended.

Despite the snub, David still offered an olive branch to his son as he shared snaps from the trip, as he captioned one of his posts: ‘You were missed @brooklynbeckham.’

Claims the couple were rebuffed when they asked David and Victoria to celebrate David’s birthday privately were said to be untrue.

Sources close to Nicola told US website TMZ that they wanted ‘to get together privately’ to avoid Romeo’s girlfriend Kim Turnbull as the couple are said to ‘have a problem’ with her.

However, Kim didn’t attend the family party in the Cotswolds last Wednesday, Brooklyn and Nicola could have gone to that and avoided her.

Brooklyn also missed out on David’s early celebrations in Miami last month as well as parties in the Cotswolds, France and London.

There have long been whispers of turbulent relations between aspiring actress Nicola and her in-laws and one source saying: ‘This is all about Nicola.’

One long-standing friend of David and Victoria’s, who has known Brooklyn since he was a small boy, said: ‘It’s a terribly sad situation and it has been going on for a long time. They adore Brooklyn, their children are everything to them, but Brooklyn isn’t talking to them, he isn’t talking to the family and David and Victoria are heartbroken.

‘It is now the end of the week and despite Brooklyn flying to London with Nicola with every intention of celebrating his dad’s 50th birthday with him, he hasn’t taken part in any of it.

‘Weeks ago Brooklyn told them he would be there and they were expecting Nicola. Now David and Victoria have no idea what is going on. The French trip was to be the really special family time away but they didn’t go. Then, after days of leaving his parents on tenterhooks, he and Nicola didn’t go to Core either.’

Another friend added: ‘All David and Victoria want is their son back – and they will be there to welcome him any time.’

A source told The Sun that Brooklyn was planning to attending David’s 50th birthday party, but felt too uncomfortable to come after Brooklyn felt that Nicola was being blamed for a rift with his family.

An insider has claimed: ‘They cancelled plans to attend the Met because they really intended to be at David’s party on Saturday.

‘But Brooklyn is really upset that blame for the rift has been levelled at Nicola.

‘She has never told him what to do and has been nothing but supportive — she’s a loyal wife.’

On Saturday, the family celebrated with A-list pals including Tom Cruise and David’s former teammates at three Michelin-star Core in Kensington, West London.

But as the party continued at the restaurant into the early hours, neighbours complained leading to a visit from two council officers at 3:35am.

Kensington and Chelsea Council told MailOnline that advice was given to minimise disruption and onlookers revealed that the music stopped immediately.

They said: ‘We have a very responsive and professional team who investigate noise complaints and take action where necessary.

‘Usually, and in this case, that means issuing some advice at a location, so disruption is kept to a minimum for residents living nearby.’

During the party, Romeo stepped up in older brother Brooklyn’s absence as he delivered a speech.

David and wife Victoria were joined by three of their children, Romeo, Cruz, and 13-year-old Harper.

Romeo, as the second oldest child, made sure to make his dad’s birthday special and delivered the speech to the Manchester United stars closest friends and family.

Romeo could be seen clutching several cue cards in his hand as he arrived at the London venue on Saturday and was also seen holding a key role at Wednesday night’s bash, held at the Beckham family’s Cotswolds home, with a snap showing him proudly carrying candlelit cupcakes to the table.

Romeo reportedly told guests: ‘Good evening everyone. I would like to start by thanking you all for being here tonight. I know without many of you in here tonight he wouldn’t be half of the man he is today. But to the man of the moment…’

Victoria shared an insight into David’s lavish celebrations by sharing a gallery of photographs on her Instagram page on Sunday evening.

Gushing over the almost week-long celebration, Victoria told her followers she has been ‘creating special memories with family and friends’.

The week kicked off with an intimate dinner at their Cotswolds pile on Wednesday evening, where they dined with close family and partners.

A glimpse at the night shows the Beckham clan dressed up in their finery to honour the big day, with dashing David sporting a sharp black tuxedo.

Fashion designer Victoria wore one of her own brand dresses, a strappy silk navy slip dress that touched the floor as she posed beside her beloved husband.

The couple, who have been married since 1999, posed for one photo perched on the bonnet of a vintage 1972 Fiat 500.

The car may have been an early birthday present for the footballing legend, who previously drove around Italy with his sons in one of the cars last year.

While each of her three youngest children were tagged in the caption of the social media photo album, she skipped Brooklyn despite usually writing something along the lines of ‘missing you @brooklynbeckham’ on previous occasions.

David reposted many of his wife’s photos, and, perhaps tellingly, wrote in one caption: ‘I love you all, thank you for making my birthday so memorable,’ also failing to mention his eldest son.

It was revealed exclusively by Mail+ this weekend that Brooklyn and his wife Nicola had skipped all of the events hosted by the family, leaving his parents heartbroken over the decision.

The attending members of the family gathered together from some seriously stylish snaps in the grounds of their £12million manor.

That their eldest son, who owns hot sauce brand Cloud23, should be a no-show is perhaps all the more surprising because Brooklyn and Nicola have been in London since last week, having jetted in from their Los Angeles home.

They had been invited to all three parties and up to the last hours on each occasion, the family had hoped they would attend. But, says one source, ‘each time Brooklyn left his parents hanging’.

Tellingly, former model and photographer Brooklyn also failed to wish his father a happy birthday on social media – nor did he send congratulations to Victoria when she turned 51 a little over a fortnight ago.

He also did not contact her for Mother’s Day in March – neither personally nor on social media – which one source called ‘so, so sad’.
